Rough River and the Kentucky State Fair

Okay, for whatever reason, my blog has decided to do some wierd stuff, so good luck reading the captions next to the pictures. I've tried to fix it several times with no success. I give up!

Harry Potter, Patoka and more...

My trip to Universal Studios to see the new Harry Potter park was great!

All you Harry Potter fans will appreciate these pics....

(we took a ton of pics so not all of them are on here,

but everything was straight out of the books and movies!)

Extendable ears outside of Zonko's joke shop

The wand choosing experience at Olivander's
(it was an exact reinactment of Harry's experience in the movie!)

was speaking to us, but it's hard to see in this pic.

Drinking Butterbeer and Hog's Head Brew at the Hog's
Head Tavern. We made good friends with Troy, our bartender.

Chocolate Frog from Honeydukes

The frog choir was really good. They
sang/harmonized several songs from the movies.

The Monster Book that tried to eat Harry
The book growled and went crazy.

The talking Sorting Hat.

A die-hard Harry Potter fan that we met.
He was 16 and was dressed to a "T" in all the Harry Potter gear.
He even had a latex lightning scar on his forehead.
Everyone wanted to take a pic with him. He was quite popular.
Watching Jace eat oreos was pretty hilarious.
He was wolfing them down like no tomorrow!

We've been on Patoka Lake a few times
with the Noble family. Here's Matt skiing.
