Winter Storm Week

Here are some pics of the first "real" winter
weather we've had this year. Pretty much
everything around here has been cancelled/closed
with all the ice and power outtages
(we lost power for about 4 hours yesterday),
so we've been doing a lot of stuff around the house
this week. The snow/ice should stick around
until Sunday because it's not supposed to get above
freezing until then. I may attempt to take Jace
outside to play in the snow today, but since I'm
8 months prego/extremely clumsy I'm a little afraid that I'd fall
on my butt with all the ice outside from the ice storm we had.

The heavy snowfall was neat to watch

Jace's new 'big boy" room. We've been
busy decorating and moving furniture this week.

The transition from crib to bed hasn't been very easy, yet.
Jace would rather play and jump in his new bed than sleep in it.

We went to the doctor for a checkup this morning
and everything seems to be on schedule. Only a little more
than 3 weeks to go! Here is the pic of my belly at 8
months. I look pretty darn sexy in my orange shirt and boxers.
Don't you think?

STITCHES ALL GONE!

Jace got his stitches removed on Thursday.
I think he screamed worse when the stitches
came out rather than going in.
Too much trauma for the boy :)
The cut looks much better now and is
healing faster than they thought it would.

BATTLE WITH A COFFEE TABLE

This week has been a little rough for Jace.
After battling a stomach virus/pukies on Tuesday,
Jace got into a mean fist fight with his cousin, Jacob,
and received a beatdown on Friday. Just kidding!
Jace had a boxing match with a coffee table
at Aunt Carolyn's house while playing with Jacob.
He ended up receiving 5 stitches on the side of
his right eye, but he was pretty brave
(after a little screaming of course).
Here's a few pics of the battle wounds...

MAJOR MILESTONES!

Jace has had some exciting moments in the past couple of days. First, we got a training potty seat and Jace has successfully went in it 3 times already! He is so excited about his "big boy potty" that he doesn't want to get off it :) (I had to pry him off the seat while he threw a tantrum). Then we said bye bye to his pacifier on Monday morning. I cut it up with scissors and Jace threw it in the garbage. So far, we're in the clear, but last night was a little rough. Jace cried for about 2 1/2 hours before finally falling asleep, but tonight he is sleeping soundly as I type this (keep your fingers crossed). Jace's buddy, Braden, also turned 2 this past weekend, so we partied hard at their house. Aunt Lisa and Uncle Chris came down for one last visit before heading back to South Carolina and we took Jace to Tomo for the first time. Jace also spent some time with his cousins Jacob and Justin this week. It's been a busy few days!

I am so excited about my potty chair!
