Last week, Jace started playing on a 3 year-old soccer team through the YMCA with his friends Braden, Tyler, and Carson. Needless to say, the first game was an eye opener for Jace. A bunch of 3 year olds running around confused and every parent shouting, "Get the ball!" He took one kick at the soccer ball during warmups and that was enough for him. Getting him out on the field without holding mom's hand is going to be a bit of a challenge. We did make some progress during the second week with Jace kicking the ball in the goal several times during practice (holding my hand, of course). Hopefully, by the end of the season he'll play without holding mom's hand. Check out the video below of Jace kicking the ball during last Saturday's game.

Ethan's First Week with Lexi and Jace
This week was Ethan's first week hanging out with Lexi while Tracy teaches preschool with Braden. Lexi and Ethan had a blast together. I think they will be good pals :-)
At the bottom are 3 videos of the kiddos, too.
Lunch time fun for Lexi and Ethan

JACE'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Jace's backpack was about as big as him, but
he was determined to carry it "all by myself" as Jace says.
Jace's first day of preschool was today. His teacher this year is Miss Ashley (she was actually one of the aides in his classroom last year). He thinks he's the big man on campus now since he remembers all the familiar faces from last year. There were no tears shed today. All Jace told me when I left was "See you later Mommy!" A huge difference from last year. We're proud of you buddy!
